Flintstones Fantasies come alive in this modern Stone-Age setting of fun-filled buildings and play areas. Tour Fred's Bedrock City. Ride the Flintmobile and Iron Horse Train. See Mount Rockmore and enjoy the new Flintstone Trio Show. Then romp on the playground's Slideasaurus. -http://www.flintstonesbedrockcity.com/Sounds pretty cheesy and fun, two of the 3 qualities a Pygmy looks for in visiting a place (the other one would be amazing, of course.) So lets get to the pictures and report of my visit to Custer, SD to go hang out with Fred and Barney at Bedrock City!
This way to Bedrock City!
Here's Fred's humble abode.
And what it looks like from the inside.
Pretty much every house looked exactly like this.
One of the two rides offered in the park,
the train around the park.
One part of the train ride, riding through Dinosaur Canyon.
There are little toy dinos scattered around. It's Godzilla!
The other ride, the Flintmobile. It's a modified Volkswagon
Beetle driven by some old guy that grew up with Fred
and Barney personally, and would talk your ear off about
everything. He'll drive you around the playground one lap.
The playground was just your standard playground,
except this one features Slidosaurus!
This guy is also in the playground.
I don't think anyone should be crawling through this thing.
Pelican dude has a third peg leg.
Since we're in the Black Hills and near Mt. Rushmore,
they have their version: Mt. Rockmore!
You could dine in at the Drive In,
you'll have to get out of your car to eat.
Quite possibly the coolest golf cart, ever!
Nearby is the Purple Pie Place.
The BEST place for pies, DON'T MISS IT!
I'll kick back and relax as you comment below!
